Muscle Tissue Diagram
Muscle Tissue Diagram. Human muscle system, the muscles of the human body that work the skeletal system, that are under voluntary control, and that are concerned with movement, posture, and balance. Although they do not have striations and sarcomeres, smooth muscle fibers do have actin and myosin.
These cells have fibers of actin and myosin which run through the cell and are supported by a framework of other proteins.
The three types of muscle tissues are such as skeletal, smooth, and cardiac.
Unlike the other two types of muscle tissue, skeletal muscles contract on a voluntary basis via the somatic nervous system, allowing you to move your body at will. Each of these muscles is a discrete organ constructed of skeletal muscle tissue, blood vessels, tendons, and nerves. Muscle tissue is made of "excitable" cells that are capable of contraction.
